It’s been such a long while since my last post and I’m sorry about that. I will get better in the new year! We have been so busy that we haven’t even had the chance to take Christmas photos this year!
A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated Dex’s 4th birthday! While we love to celebrate his birthday in a big way, this year we decided to keep it super small . One of the reasons being, Dex can get easily overwhelmed with tons of people and we wanted him to feel as comfortable as possible. Even singing happy birthday can sometimes cause him to cry or feel uncomfortable so, we really wanted his experience this year to be one that would give him great memories. A handful of family members, cousins and the park made for his perfect day. Here are a few snapshots from the big FOUR and then a few prayer requests to follow…
His birthday is pretty close to Christmas. So close, that we already had decorations ready for photos, ha!
Baby Brother loved the sand at the park. Dex’s teachers made him that sweet hat at school the previous day and he did not want to take it off!
Loving his balloons ( the #4 balloon is literally still inflated in his room).
His actual birthday was a school day so of course we had a little phone photo shoot at school 🙂
We went for birthday pancakes after school and we didn’t want to forget to include baby bro, Reed, in the pictures.
A few prayer requests…
- We recently learned that Dex will actually have to have another surgery in the next few weeks. We would love your prayers for a smooth procedure and easy recovery.
- This past week Dex had a little health scare which led us to the doctor for the some meds, and an intense breathing treatment. Although Dex is pretty healthy normally, we can’t take chances with his respiratory system. His oxygen levels dipped below a comfortable and safe level and he needed to be monitored closely. We would love your prayers for a quick healing and that his airway opens up for easy and smooth breathing.
- Pray for mama. The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a challenge. Not only with raising these amazing babies but personally as well. I ( mama) would love your prayers that the Lord will really mold and make me in the way He’s called. That I can be that better Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter and friend.
You all have been so supportive of us and so loving of our special son. We love and appreciate you more than you know. Have a very Merry Christmas and we will see you all in the new year!
